Terms of Service

Agreement

These terms are between you and SpectreLabs Pty Ltd ("we", "us"), the operator of ResumeProofed ("the service"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What the service does

ResumeProofed helps you tailor your résumé and cover letter to a job by reordering, reweighting and rephrasing facts you have entered and confirmed. The service is designed not to invent experience: it works from your locked master profile.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the facts you enter, and for reviewing every document before you use it. The final content of anything you send to an employer is yours.

No guarantee of outcomes

We do not guarantee that using the service will get you an interview, a job, or any particular result. Hiring decisions are made by employers, not by us.

The scores we show are honest tools, not official verdicts. The Proof Score measures how well your document is supported by your confirmed facts. The Recruiter Scan emulates common keyword and structure signals. Neither is an official score from any applicant tracking system or employer, and we do not claim to guarantee that any document will pass any particular system.

Your account

You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Sign-in is passwordless, by one-time email link or Google; keep access to that email secure.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.

Acceptable use

Use the service for preparing your own genuine job applications. Do not use it to misrepresent your identity or qualifications, to enter another person's information without their consent, to break the law, or to attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service. We may suspend or close accounts that misuse the service.

Plans, billing and cancellation

The service offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Current prices and inclusions are shown on our pricing page. Paid plans are billed in advance for the period you choose (monthly or quarterly) and renew automatically until cancelled.

You can cancel at any time from your account, through our billing provider. When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and it does not renew after that. Payments are handled by Stripe.

We may change prices for future billing periods. If we do, we will give you notice and the new price will apply from your next renewal, never retroactively.

Refunds

Where the Australian Consumer Law applies, you have guarantees that cannot be excluded, and nothing in these terms limits those rights. Beyond those rights, subscription fees are generally non-refundable for the current period, since you keep access until the end of it. If something has gone genuinely wrong, contact us at support@resumeproofed.com and we will deal with it fairly.

Your content and ownership

You own the information you enter and the documents generated for you. You grant us the limited permission needed to store and process that information solely to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

We own the service itself — the software, design, and brand. These terms do not transfer any of that to you.

Availability

We work to keep the service available and reliable, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update, change or occasionally take the service offline for maintenance. The service also depends on third-party providers (such as our AI and payment providers) whose availability is outside our control.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded. Subject to that, to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending your use

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive — such as ownership, liability and refunds — continue to apply after your use ends.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you and we submit to the courts of that place, without affecting any right you have to bring a claim in your own jurisdiction where the law allows.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. If we make a material change, we will update the date below and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
